Flat Jacking
The circular mild steel capsule jack, usually known as a flat jack, is supplied and installed for a variety of uses. Manufactured in a range of sizes/load capacities, they are used for lifting or load transfer operations where access is limited to heights less than 40mm, and are often specified for permanent installation as part of the structural concept.
In these circumstances they are usually inflated, or transfused, with grout whilst ensuring the inflated load is maintained, they are then regarded as part of the permanent structure.
